Lots of exciting things are going on in terms of Education in the PSALA.
Our Chapter’s CLM study group is underway and in full swing. We meet each month and participate in the ALA’s e-learning webinar series. At the conclusion of our webinar, we have a round-table discussion to review the presentation, how the topic pertains to our positions and takeaways we can use.
Some of our study group participants plan on taking the test – some don’t. Our group is not about the test. Our group reflects the values of our membership: inclusivity, educational opportunities and networking with our members and business partners.
If you were unable to sign up for this year’s study group. No worries or need to feel left out. We have many educational opportunities this year. In fact, when possible, the PSALA will be providing CLM credits for Chapter Meetups.
Speaking of Chapter Meetups, you may have noticed our chapter has moved away from the term “section” meeting. Instead, we are calling our meetings “Chapter Meetups”. This term more accurately reflects our chapter’s desire for inclusivity and providing educational experiences that appeal to ALL.
Our next Meetup will be held April 19 – information below. Lunch will generously be provided, by Copiers Northwest. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by Monday, April 17.
