We are pleased to announce that Sean Carter will be our speaker for the 2017 Law Firm Leaders Dinner. The event is on Thursday, October 19, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm at the Arctic Room. The Law Firm Leaders Dinner is our annual dinner honoring managing partners, general counsel, and other law firm leaders.
Sean is a Harvard Law School graduate who practiced for ten years. The primary focus of his practice was corporate securities and M&A.
In 2002, Sean decided to leave the practice of law to focus his energies on becoming the country’s foremost Humorist at Law. Since then, he has been delivering comedic professional educational seminars for more than 250 organizations, including many ALA Chapters and ALA’s Annual Conference.
The focus of this year’s Law Firm Leaders Dinner is diversity, with an emphasis on the elimination of bias. In his presentation, Sean will illustrate how even hidden and seemingly benign biases prevent lawyers from effectively representing clients and creating diverse and legal professionals from creating inclusive workplaces.
