Lynda Mathews

Lynda Mathews has been a member of ALA and PSALA for 30 years. Her career in the legal industry began in 1986 at Williams, Kastner (formerly Williams, Kastner & Gibbs) where she held several leadership positions.  After almost 12 years, she left Williams, Kastner & Gibbs, Lynda and joined Bogle & Gates as Bellevue Office Administrator. Soon after, she moved to Perkins Coie where she has remained for the past 21 years and is currently Regional Business Director. Lynda has held many PSALA board and committee positions including President. She is the current Chair of the Business of Law Section.

PANELISTS:

Tara Binge

Tara Ghannam Binge, SHRM-SCP, SHRM, is Stoel Rives’ Director of Human Resources. She oversees the office administrators, Benefits and Retirement departments, and the general HR function. Tara is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s HR services, policies and programs foster a healthy, vibrant and inclusive work environment that motivates employees, recognizes successes, retains strong performers, and aligns with the firm’s strategic goals and objectives. She serves as a trusted and strategic advisor on all areas affecting the firm’s employees, including but not limited to onboarding, integration, personnel relations, development, reward and recognition programs, engagement, coaching, and performance management. Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Tara was the HR Director for Williams Kastner (2012-2018) and Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton (2000-2004), firm administrator for two other firms, and secretarial manager for Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C. She is a member and past president of the Puget Sound Association of Legal Administrators and is SHRM certified.

Jane Blair

Jane Blair has over 25 years of experience solving complex issues in the strategy, acquisition, leasing and sales of office and data center properties. She has participated in over 375 transactions/consulting projects totaling over 4.8 million square feet. As the Northwest representative of CBRE’s Global Law Firm Practice Group, Jane’s focus is to serve clients, both large and small, with the information they need to make informed decisions. Her clients include Perkins Coie, K&L Gates, Wilson Sonsini, Fenwick & West, Orrick, Shook Hardy & Bacon, Quinn Emanuel, among others.

Eileen Cheshire

Eileen Cheshire has worked in the legal industry for over 28 years. She has been a paralegal at both large and small law firms, managed a small law for eight years and supervised legal staff for three years. She is currently the Seattle Operations Manager at Perkins Coie and has been with the firm since 2015. Eileen joined the Puget Sound Association of Legal Administrators in 2008.

Shevette Floyd

Shevette N. Floyd has over 30 years’ experience in all areas of strategic management. She has overseen and directly managed, Legal, HR and Marketing Departments. Managing the overall business, facility and operations of law offices,

as well as credit and insurance industries. She currently is the Sr. Manager of Legal Administration and Continuous Improvement at Starbucks Legal and Corporate Affairs department. Shevette joined the PSALA in September 2008.

Callan Cobb Kanev

Callan’s practice focuses on various areas of commercial real estate law. She represents owners, buyers, developers and borrowers in negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, commercial, retail and industrial lease agreements and commercial loan documents, facilitating and handling real estate closings, entity formation and other documents and matters relating to the acquisition, sale, development, operation and financing of commercial real property.

Lisa Miner

Lisa Miner has worked in the legal industry for over 33 years. She started as the File Clerk at a small firm in Renton and is currently the Seattle and Bellevue Office Business Director at Perkins Coie where she has been for 12 years. Lisa joined the Puget Sound Association of Legal Administrators (PSALA) in 2001, was its President in 2008 and won the Spirit of PSALA Award in 2014.
