This dialogue is an interactive discussion on best practices for Legal Administrative Professionals on risks, trends and methods to proactively engage and overcome some of today’s most common pitfalls. Issues includes digital vs analog documentation, avoiding creating additional liabilities through multiple forms of communication, including how and when to involve your insurance company.
Chris Brumfield is the Professional Liability Associate at Brown and Brown/Servco Insurance specializing in professional liability coverage for Attorneys, Architects and Engineers. He came to Brown and Brown from Guy Carpenter Reinsurance in 2017, where he specialized in excess loss treaties, contract review, large loss claims and accounting. He brings over 8 years as the owner-operator of a general contracting business working in the construction industry. He has over 10 years of experience in Insurance including insurance placement, contract reviews, complex claims assistance, and in-house seminars. Chris graduated with a BA from the University of Washington. He is active on several non-profit boards including as the current president of the PNW CPCU Chapter. Chris is a proud CPCU and holds multiple professional designations from the institutes.
Jay Soroka is the Senior Vice President at Brown and Brown/Servco Insurance. He came to Brown and Brown/Servco Pacific from Wells Fargo in August 2012, where he specialized in professional liability insurance for Attorneys, Architects and Engineers. At Servco Pacific, Jay is leading the professional liability insurance department. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry and his services include insurance placement, contract reviews, claims assistance, and in-house seminars. His clients are engaged in local, national, and international projects. Jay graduated from Hobart College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound. Jay is a member of the Washington State Bar and holds a CPCU designation.
