About the Speaker:
Missy Hirst (she· her· hers)
Chief Operating Officer, MSLA
Missy Hirst, MSLA, is the Chief Operating Officer for Altitude Community Law P.C., a law firm representing Colorado HOAs and other community associations.
Missy answers directly to Altitude’s Shareholders and works alongside all Department Heads, attorneys, and support staff to facilitate the Firm’s daily operations. She is the Firm’s HR and handles everything from hiring to performance management and compensation to terminations and separations. She also directly supervises accounting and billing, budgeting, IT, liability and risk, facilities and equipment, and is responsible for implementing the Firm’s strategic planning initiatives.
Missy has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Robert Morris University of Illinois and a master’s degree in legal administration from University of Denver Law School. She has managed legal practices for over 25 years.
A long-standing member of the ALA, Missy is a former President of the Mile High Chapter. At the international level, she has served on the Association’s Nominating Committee and Annual Conference Planning Committee, Chaired the Association’s Membership Committee, and is currently serving on the Chapter Resource Team/Chapter Connection Committee where she liaisons with many ALA chapters across the country. Missy is a past recipient of the Business Professional Women’s Woman of the Year, Mile High ALA’s David Award for outstanding service to the Mile High ALA Chapter, the ALA’s Elevate Award for elevating ALA within the legal community and is the 2023 recipient of ALA’s Outstanding Volunteer Award.
