About the Event:

Steven Colson will give a general overview on the property and casualty marketplace focusing on cyber liability and employment practices liability – which are two areas that have been somewhat volatile in the law firm sector.

Nancy Taylor-Babcock will give a general overview of the employee benefits marketplace focusing on 1095C filings, the termination of COBRA & ARPA subsidies and Medicare Part D notices.

Nick Kralj will give a general overview of the retirement benefit plans marketplace focusing on new DOL guidelines and vendor cyber security requirements.

About the Presenters:

Steven Colson, Business Insurance, HUB International, LLC

Steven Colson is the Practice Leader and Senior Vice President for HUB International Northwest’s Professional Liability Practice for Lawyers and has over twenty years experience in designing customized insurance and risk management programs. Steven has a diverse book of business, but specializes in Professional Liability where his team oversees the insurance program for over 450 law firms. Steven proactively partners with clients and his colleagues to design and deliver insurance and risk management programs that will reduce their total cost of risk, contain or reduce costs and improve business processes. As the Professional Liability Practice Leader, he also works with his colleagues throughout the Pacific Northwest in assisting them with delivering programs that address the most complex asset protection for lawyers. Prior to joining HUB, Steven was a partner of one of the largest privately held insurance brokerages in Seattle.

 

 

Nancy Taylor-Babcock, Employee Benefits, HUB International, LLC

Nancy Taylor-Babcock has been developing creative, strategic benefits solutions for employers since 1983. A Registered Health Underwriter, she applies employee benefits expertise to strategic solutions that help reign in escalating healthcare costs for employers.

Nancy has extensive experience with alternative funding methods including self-funding, partial self-funding and bundled and unbundled plans. She has worked for both insurance carriers and as a consultant which provides her with unique insight into the insurance industry. She works closely with our account management, compliance and underwriting teams to bring comprehensive services to all her clients. Nancy’s client base includes experience with employers in manufacturing, retail, fishing, seafood, distribution, education, energy, legal, technology, hospitality, lumber, non-profits and construction.

 

Nick Kralj, Employee Benefits, Vice President of Retirement Plan Services, HUB International LLC

Nick has been working in the retirement plans space since 2001 and has been the Vice President of RPW Services for since 2007.

Nick is a licensed Investment Advisory Representative (IAR) and carries his series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses. Additionally, Nick holds state life insurance licenses. He is also a designated Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF). This designation ensures strong stewardship of and commitment to fiduciary best practices within the industry.

Nick has a passion for learning and teaching, and brings that to plan sponsors and participants. He has worked closely with many leading providers in the retirement space and has experience matching employer specific needs and desires to market knowledge and trends.
